These terms govern your purchase and use of Born to Publish (the “Service”). By purchasing or using the Service, you agree to these terms.
Born to Publish is a browser-based workspace that carries a finished draft or working manuscript through structure, manuscript pass, revision pass, cover at trim, interior assembly and export into upload-ready files for self-publishing marketplaces such as Amazon Kindle Direct Publishing. The core workspace is a one-time purchase. Optional add-ons (The House Pages Pack, The Listing Desk, The Proof Pass, and The Full Kit combo) are priced once, in the same transaction. After checkout you may be offered our done-with-you publishing service (a one-time purchase, scoped to all marketplaces or to Amazon KDP only) and Shelf Signals, a monthly market-trend subscription — both are described in full, with their own price and terms, at the moment they're offered. The done-with-you service is advisory: a named point of contact with a team behind them, replying within one business day for as long as that book takes; a dated launch plan built for your genre and stores; and the pre-publication decisions that affect discoverability — which stores to open on, categories, keyword slots, opening price and publishing window. It does not include advertising, paid traffic, PR or review solicitation, and it is never a guarantee of sales, rankings or of any marketplace's approval or approval date, which always belong to the marketplace.
The Service runs on an AI provider (such as OpenAI, Anthropic, or Google Gemini) that you connect with your own API key. Any usage cost charged by that provider is between you and the provider — we do not mark it up, bill it, or have visibility into it.
All payments are processed by Stripe. The core workspace is billed once, at the time of purchase. Add-ons (The House Pages Pack, The Listing Desk, The Proof Pass, or the three together as The Full Kit) are one-time charges, whether selected at checkout or bought afterwards — they never renew. The done-with-you publishing service is a one-time charge and never renews.
Shelf Signals is a subscription and is offered in two plans: $97 per year, which renews once a year at $97 until cancelled, or $19.99 per month with the first month free, after which it bills $19.99 every month until cancelled. Whichever you choose, the renewal amount and interval are shown before you pay, the first charge date is stated on the offer page, and you can cancel at any time — from the link on the Stripe receipt, or by writing to support@novodialtd.com, which we action on the same business day. No phone call and no retention flow.
Run the workspace on a real draft. If within 30 days of purchase you haven't published — or you simply aren't satisfied — write to us and we refund the core purchase in full, along with any add-on bought with it or after it. The done-with-you service carries the same 30-day window, counted from its own purchase. No form, no reason required. Recurring Shelf Signals charges already billed are handled case-by-case when you write in to cancel.
Exported files are built to match the published Kindle Direct Publishing formatting and dimension specification as it stands at the time of export. Final acceptance of any file, and any decision about content, always belongs to the marketplace — Amazon's decisions are its own. We make no promise or guarantee of sales, royalties, rankings, or earnings of any kind; outcomes depend on your content, your genre, and market conditions outside our control.
You own everything produced through the Service — your manuscript, your cover, your listing, and every royalty it earns. We claim no rights, no royalties, and no ownership stake in what you publish, and we appear nowhere on the finished book.
Born to Publish is an independent product. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Amazon.com, Inc., Kindle Direct Publishing, Apple Books, Barnes & Noble, Kobo, Meta/Facebook, or any AI provider referenced on this site.
You agree not to use the Service to produce content that is illegal, infringes someone else's copyright or trademark, or violates the content policies of the marketplace you intend to publish on. We may suspend access for accounts found doing so.
We may update these terms from time to time. The current version is always available at this same address.
